One more card to share with you today. This cutie is Tilda with skates. I just loved all the new stamps form the Sweet Christmas Wishes collection. I ordered several of them and only managed to color up this one.

These cute ice skates are a die from Quickutz. The large snowflake is from Sizzix.

Winter wishes to you all! Hopefully the holidays brought you all some wonderful memories with family and friends.
It's been so long since my last post. Unfortunately we have had a rash of bad luck in our home and time has seem to gotten away from me. Before I knew it the holiday was upon me and I somehow managed to get a few cards done.

I made a shaker card with this cutie Tilda with Fir stamp from Magnolia, along with the tree stamp in the background.

The snowflakes are Quickutz die with pearl brads. Unfortunately the picture doesn't show all the glitter.

Tag Shadow Box

Hello. Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend! I was inspired to make this from a project by Melissa Phillips. If you love Shabby Chic, then you must check out her blog. The challenge this week over at Simon Says Stamp and Show is tags so I decided to finally make my own version. I placed them in a shadow box to display on the wall.

The papers, resin embellishment, word rub ons, white lace trim and chandelier drop are all from the Melissa Frances 5th Avenue line.

The butterflies wer cut out from some scraps of Prima's Recollections line. The lace and heart button on Tag 1 are from Joann Fabrics. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.I used a fram die from Sizzix, Martha Stewart punch and a brad from My Mind's Eye for Tag 2.

Some Maya Road black organza rose ribbon, white flower ribbon, Melissa Frances pearls and 7 Gypsies tape on Tag 3.

Canvas Layout

Quick post tonight. I made this a couple week's ago for my daughter and am just getting around to posting it. This was my first time working with canvas. The 12x12 canvas was part of the July Kit from The Flying Unicorn Store, along with the Tattered Angels screen. The kit also included some glimmer mist. I will definitely have to work on my technique with the glimmer mist. My first attempt with the canvas did not go well and I thought the canvas was most likely going in the trash. I used the pink ink that also came in the kit and went over the screen and then used some Tim Holtz to add some black. Overall, I thought it came out okay. I got to use some of my new Sizzix dies. I added some Webster's Bloomers and Maya Road Zipper Trim for the flowers.

My First Layout in Years

Hope you all had wonderful weekend. I was so inspired by the lovely layouts over at the Flying Unicorn Forum, that I decided to make one myself. It's probably been close to 10 years since I scrapbooked anything and they were much more basic (and my kids were much smaller...lol). You will definitely be seeing more layouts from me. I really enjoyed making this.

The paper is from Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden and was in my July kit from the Flying Unicorn store. I just got this great butterfly by Sizzix and thought it would be perfect with this paper.

I bought some cheese cloth a while ago to use for my card making but hadn't gotten around to using it yet. So I decided it was time to pull it out and try it on something. Here's a close up below.

The lace and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Flying Unicorn Shimmer & Shine

Happy Friday! The Flying Unicorn had their first blog hop over the 4th of July weekend and WOW...what inspiring projects. If you're haven't been over to the Flying Unicorn store, you must check it out. Alda has a wonderful selection in her store. She offers monthly scrapbooking kits, which include an "off the page" project. I found some time to play with my June kit and this chipboard album, exclusive to the Flying Unicorn, was included in the kit. Also in my kit were these fabulous Webster's Pages from their Ladies and Gents line. Here's a close-up of the embellishments.

I made the white flower and white rose bud using some Melissa Frances crepe paper with some stickles on the edges for some added shimmer. The white resin ornate corner, pearls and the chandelier drops are also from Melissa Frances. Some Webster's Bloomers, black leaf and ticket were also used. That beautiful cameo button was also included in my kit.

I used the postcard stamp from Whimsy Stamps and ripped it in half. Sizzix postage frame and Tim Holtz Baroque and Mini Baroque dies. The flower is from Maya Road.

I added some Maya Road organza rose ribbon to the top. Some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The crochet ribbon on this page was also included in my Flying Unicorn kit.

I just got my July Kit yesterday in the mail and can't wait to get playing. It has some really great products I've never tried before. Hopefully I'll get some time to play this weekend.

Abundance....of pictures

Hello, hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. Something a little different to share today. I've been in Copic coloring funk and can't seem to color anything right lately. I've been busy though with my new obsession...making chipboard albums and some altered art. The Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge this week is "Show a Word". I bought this paper mache letter "B" last week at Joann's Fabrics and immediately thought...7 Gypsies Lille collection would be perfect for this. I cut up several different sheets and glued them on with Zip Dry, then used some Martha Stewart Decoupage to cover it with after I did some sanding on the edges and VP distress ink.

I added this cute little clipboard I found at AC Moore. Used some distress inks and added some 7 Gypsies and Tim Holtz embellies. The clock is a Tim Holtz stamp, stamped in Barn Door and covered with Glossy Accents. The tag desgin was made by accident. I meant to distress with my sponge applicator but picked up the stamp pad instead and pressed down before I realized what I was doing (Watching TV and crafting will do this). Well I just decided to go with it and keep pressing the stamp pad down in random spots.

Hi. Today was a long, long day at work and I just wanted to get home and let my mind go blank. Well as walked up to the door, there propped inside was a package. When I opened it up, a smile spread across my face and a feeling of sheer happiness. It was my Webster's Pages Warehouse sale packages. For $25, you got at least $75 worth of product. I can't begin to tell you how much stuff was in each box (I was greedy and bought 2). The sale may still be going on, so if you like Webster's Pages, go check out their website.

Now on to my card. The Little Darlings Challenge Blog is hosting their first challenge and the theme is summer.

I used the adorable Little Darlings Up, Up and Away stamp. You can find it here. I also used the Post Card Stamp from Whimsy Stamps, which is also available at the Love to Stamp store. Ticket and Enjoy the Journey stamp are from Tim Holt'z Artistry set.

The hot air balloon paper is from Webster's Pages digital line. Some raffia lace and green seam binding ribbon finish off the card. The image is colored with copics.

Little Darlings Contest & Card

TGIF! Wow what a week it's been. My job has been so crazy this week. There was a bright spot though. I was lucky enough to win the blog candy prize over at The Little Darlings Challenge, which is sponsored by the Love to Stamp Store. Angie is so generous to offer up such a fantastic prize. It was packed full of goodies. She is also giving away more. All you need to do is enter a project using one of her adorable Little Darlings stamps. Now on to my card. This Little Darling is called "So Big". I decided to make a father's day card for my son to give to his dad. I so prefer the cute & girly type of cards so I hope this one is not too cutesy for him.

I resized one of their postcards which you can also get in their digital collection and used it on the inside of the card. The Family background stamp is from Fiskars. My Favorite Things

Hello. I'm back today with another card to share. The challenge over at Magnolia Down Under is to use your favorite things. Tilda Blowing Bubbles was my first Magnolia Stamp purchase. It was seeing this stamp used on a card that started my love of Magnolia stamps. She is definately my favorite and I'm not sure why I never inked her up until now. I used my circle nestabilities to cut her, along with the scallop circles.

I used some Webster's Pages from their digital line. Their entire line has fast become of favorite of mine. You will be seeing it a lot. I used some of their bloomers ribbon in celery. Another favorite I love seeing on cards is raffia lace. I just wish they would sell it over here in the U.S. The postage sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps. I finally used my Tattered Florals die from Tim Holtz. The challenge over at Simon Says Stamp is Sparkle and Shine, so I added some glimmer mist to the flower and the image. The paper I stamped on is Cryogen Irridescent paper which also has some sparkle to it (I tried to get it to show in the pictures...but no luck).

You Hold the Key

Happy Wednesday everyone! We're half way through the week. I have an easel card to share today. The challenge over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers is "Graduation or Congratulations". This is for a friend's daughter who is graduationg high school.

I used some of the digital papers from Webster's Pages on the front of the card and on the tag. The beautifu organza rose ribbon on the tag and inside the card is from Maya Road. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Tilda was colored with Copics and the script background is a stamp from Glitz. Throw in some Tim Holtz film strip ribbon and adage ticket and...Voila.

Here's a close up of the tag using a corner cut from some of the Webster's Pages. I also used the "I believe I can fly" stamp from Magnolia and added some lace and twine (Hope it's enough lace for the Just Magnolia and Bunny Zoe's challenges).

Tilda and Edwin In Love

Happy Saturday! Hope everyone is enjoying better weather than the chilly rain we're having here in Philadelphia. I've been dying to use these beautiful stamps with Tilda and Edwin and the Rose Trellis. The challenge over at Magnolia-licious Highlites is to use both Tilda and Edwin on your card. I've colored them with Copics and added some glossy accent to the flowers on Edwin and Tilda. I also added some perfect pearls to Tilda's hair and her earrings. I managed to get my hands on a couple rolls of that raffia lace. It's so difficult to find over here in the states.

The beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Their challenge this week is Wings, so I've added some butterflies using my Martha Stewart punch.

Japanese Tilda

It's almost Friday. I can't wait for the weekend. I have a quick post tonight. The Totally Tilda Challenge right now is "Tilda All Over the World". I had colored Japanese Tilda and the Magnolia Tree but just couldn't find the right paper to go with it. Well, I somehow stumbled upon the Webster's Page website and I saw they had a digital section. You can buy their paper collections as digital downloads. The hardest part was choosing what collections I wanted to try first. This is from the Postcards from Paris collection. The great thing about the digital papers is you can resize them to fit your cards so the entire page fits. I chose to keep it simple because I didn't want to cover up that gorgeous design on the paper.

I must have been living under a rock because I've just discovered their papers and already placed an order over at Two Peas in a Pod (their having a sale on some of their Webster's stuff). I've also been dying to try some of their bloomers ribbon. I have to say they are super speedy over at Two Peas, cuz my box of goodies arrived today and I can't wait to play.

Bithday Wishes For Mom

Hello. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I don't know where the time goes anymore. I managed to get a couple cards done yesterday and this card is for my Mother's birthday. I used the sketch over at Wild Orchid Crafts challenge for this card. I managed to score some of that awesome raffia lace on ebay. It's a shame no one sells it over here in the U.S. I used the Magnolia Doo Hickey Romantic Lace Die and cut it to go around the image and Tilda's Lace for around the card. I colored Tilda with Copics. It doesn't show well in the photo but the ribbon at the top is from Martha Stewart and says "Happy Birthday". The papers are from MME and the butterflies are a MS punch. And of course, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Shabby Chic Tilda

Hello. Hope everyone had a great week. I finally had some time to make something. It feels like ages since I put a card together. Where does the time go? Magnolia-licious Highlites is having an Easter/Spring Extravaganza Contest. There's three categories you can enter in. I made this for the "Anything but a Card" category. The challenge at Magnolia Down Under is Shabby Chic and inspired me to go in that direction for embellishing the bird house.

I used the Serenade cartridge on my cricut to make the birdhouse. Used Tim Holtz Distress Paint to give it a shabby feel. The flowers are some cotton seam binding that I colored with some Tattered Angels Mist and sewed. The butterfly is a Marianne's Creatables die and the Love word was made from my Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. And of course, Tilda is sitting inside with her lovely flowers.

The crinkled ribbon was purchased at Pixie Paper Perfections. They have some beautifuls colors there and great service.

Vintage Tilda

Hello again. I'm back with my second card for today. I just love how this one turned out. I followed the sketch over at Friday Sketchers. Don't you just love this vintage sofa stamp from the You're so Special collection? Tilda with Big Ribbon is from the same collection.

I've been in a Copic funk lately and can't seem to get the coloring result I'm striving for, so I decided to break out the Prisma pencils and OMS.

I stamped the sofa with Tea Dye DI and then added Tattered Rose and Aged Mahagony around the image. I added some stickles to the lace on Tilda's outfit. The papers are from K&Company. The lace and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves and border below the image are Martha Stewart punches.

Happy Monday! Two quick posts for today. I managed to get a couple cards done on Sunday. I've been so eager to use these two stamps together and I thought they would be perfect for this week's challenge over at Simon Says Stamp, which is Coffee and Cream.

There's no sentiment yet. I'll add it later when I have someone to give the card to. I used Copics to color the image (E40 - E49) and then added Antique Linen and Tea Dye DI's around the image. The flower was made from ribbon and glued to a circle with a button embelishment. I went to AC Moore and was so excited to see they had the Tim Holtz film strip and thought it would be perfect for this card. The ticket is also from TH. The papers are from MME's Paris collection.

Hello again. Here's my second post for today. It was my son's birthday on Sunday (I can't believe my baby is 20 years old!!!) He humors me when I make him cutesy type cards. I think the Bon Voyage collection from Magnolia is one of my favorites so far, although it's really hard to have a favorite when they're all so darn cute.

When I say the "I can believe I can Fly" sentiment stamp, I just had to have it. My son's favorite movie as child was Space Jam and that was the main song from the movie. He used to sing it to me all the time.

Happy Wednesday! Two quick posts today. This is the first card I have to share with you. My daughter needed a birthday card for her boyfriends mother, so I had this one colored already and put together this card for her. I even dusted off the sewing maching and stitched around the edges. I distressed the edges with my TH paper tool and added some tears here and there. The circle sentiment is from Lily of the Valley. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I used the Romantic Hearts Doo Hickey for the edge of the card and around the circle sentiment inside the card.

This Valentine's card is using the Right Through My Heart Magnolia stamp. This was so much fun to color with my copics. The image and papers are distressed with Velvet Rose and Antique Linen TH distress inks. I decided to dust off the Cricut machine and made the Love at the top of the card. The "Heaven Sent" clip, I found at Big Lots (a pack of 12 for a $1.oo).

The angel wings are one of the Magnolia Doo Hickeys. The Be Mine, Love and Heart Stamps are from AC Moore's Dollar Stamp packs. The flowers and heart pin are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Happy Wednesday! I've got another Valentine's Day card to share. I used LadyBug Hearts Tilda and the Be Mine stamps from Magnolia. Isn't she just adorable?

The Amore bingo card was a freebie from Sugar Creek Hollow Digi Stamps and the ticket and sentiment are from Inkadinkdo. I just bought some of the Cryogen Irridescent white paper and just love the sparkle it adds. I used copics to color the image and added some silver stickles to her hat and around the hearts.

Tilda blowing hearts for Valentine's Day

Hello. Well...as I mentioned in my last post, I'm addicted to all things Magnolia now. It's been like Christmas at my house all over again. Except all the gifts have been for me...hee hee! After being laid off for over two years and then having to work two jobs, I've been blessed with getting my old job back...YEAH!!!! And my DH said to celebrate it, I could spend my first paycheck on myself. So....I treated myself to a whole bunch of Magnolia stamps and some Doo Hickeys too.

Since I now have weekends off again, I spent it making my Valentine's Day cards. I also tried some new things. This card being one of them. It's a tealight card but I'm going to put some candy in it instead.

The challenge at Magnolialicious Highlites is Hearts, Pink, White and Silver. The image is Tilda Blowing Hearts. I colored her with Copics and added some stickles on her wings and the leaves and swirls. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. My Very First Magnolia Card

I couldn't resist any longer. I've been dying to get the Vintage Tag DooHickey die from Magnolia for quite some time now. I finally gave in and order it along with those darling angel wings too. I thought I'd try a few stamps too. Well...now I'm addicted. I've already placed several orders (and a small fortune too...LOL) for a whole lot more.

This stamp is from the new "You're So Special" line and is called King Tilda. I thought it would be perfect my cousin's little princess who was celebrating her third birthday this past Sunday. I colored her with Copics and added some stickles. The papers are from My Mind's Eye and the lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I also made a gift box to put the card in using kraft paper that I stamped some dots and swirls on.

Sadly, my time as a Guest Designer at Shirley's 2 Girls has come to an end. The images there are so fun to work with. I want to thank Georgia and the rest of the DT.

My last project is using some of the cute images for New Year's in the January Set. I chose to make another wine bottle tag since we have a party to go to and I'll bringing...you guessed it... a bottle of wine. I found a cute champagne bottle card template (from Mirkwood Designs) and cut it in half.

The theme is New Beginnings this week and we hope you will join us over at the Challenge Blog.

The image was colored with Copics and then distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink. I stamped some swirls with holly using a stamp from the dollar bin at Michael's. The candy cane stamp is from the Christmas Words stamp set from Inkadinkado. I used Fired Brick distress ink on craft paper and distressed the edges of everything with Vintage Photo. The scallop square is from a Spellbinders die and the snowflakes were made using a Martha Stewart punch and Fired Brick distress ink and Stickles.

Two more cards to share today. Still Christmas cards. The monthly challenge over at the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge blog is a winter theme. I just love her images and the biggest problem is chosing which one to use.

This first card uses the Letters to Santa image from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection found here.

It's colored with Copics and I added some stickles glitter for the snow and the trim on her hat and coat. The snowflake is a Quickutz die and the scalloped circles was made with a spellbinders die. I used Vintage Photo and Antique Linen distress inks to add a vintage feel to the card.

Christmas a little late

I have a couple postings today. I know Christmas is past but I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Unfortunately now that I'm working two jobs, my crafting time has been almost non-existent. I did manage to take two days off before the holiday and get some cards done. Nothing too exciting. I kept them pretty basic.

The first uses this adorable Elisabeth Bell image from Belles-n-Whistles. The circle sentiment is from Cats Life Press.

This one I used a Sarah Kay image. This is probably my favorite Sarah Kay image.

Thzese are gift card holders I made for our friends kids. The template is a freebie over at the Waltzing Mouse. The circle sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

Twisted Thursday and Dog Treats

Hello. It's Thursday already and time for another challenge at Shirley's 2 Girls. The theme this week is anything. I made a treat bag topper and filled it with dog treats for my neighbor's dogs. I used the image Joyful Noise and colored it with Copics. I used a spellbinder die for the circles and the tag shape. A Martha Stewart punch for the snowflakes. I used forest moss distress ink and then added some stickles to the snowflakes.

Sorry for the poor pictures. I think my digital camera is ready to retire. Maybe Santa will bring me a new one. Thanks for stopping by.

Bring on the bling this week over at Shirley's 2 Girls for the Twisted Thursdays Challenge.

I used the Santa & Toys image. You can find it over at the S2G Shop. I colored it with Copics and added some red, white & green stickles to the image. I also used some gold stickles for the snowflake which was made from my Quickutz die. The glitter paper is from My Mind's Eye Wonderful Winter collection. The script on the other paper was made with a rubber stamp and then distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I made this diaper cake for baby shower a few weeks ago and thought I would post it since the theme is "Anything Goes" over at MelJen's DT and Challenge Blog. The baby's room is a Jungle Babies theme and the first thing I thought of was MelJen's adorable stamps. I colored them with copics and used a spellbinder die for the circles. It was actually easier than I thought it would be. I kept it clean and simple (which is also this week's challenge over at BNW). Hello again. I'm back with two more sneak peek cards for The Stamping Boutique's new releases on September 18th. The first one is the Ice Princess image. I colored her with copics and added some white and silver stickles for a little glam. The edges were distressed with weathered wood TH distress inks and the snowflake is a Quickutz die that I added some glitter to.

The second card is this darling gingerbread man image. For this image, I colored it with prisma pencils and OMS. Again, I added some stickles and foam dots to make the image stand out. The snowflake border punch is from Fiskars.

Happy Tuesday! Today I'd like to share a card with you that I made for my son to give to his girlfriend for her birthday. The image is from Belles-n-Whistles. I'm entering it this week's challenge, which is to use lace. It may be a bit of a stretch but I'm counting the Lacey Heart punch from Martha Stewart as my lace and the border punch. I colored the image with copics and distressed the edges of the paper and added some TH Distress Crackle Paint to all the edges. The circle sentiment is from Cat's Life Press and the sentiment inside is from Tiddly Inks Digital Stamps.

The weather has taken a nice change for the cooler here in Philly and I'm looking forward to fall. So I thought I'd make an autumn card. I used the Gherkin Sprite image from the Little Wings collection and stamped some leaves around the edge. The papers are from My Mind's Eye - Bloom and Grow collection, along with some brown craft paper. I added some distress crackle paint in picket fence around the edges of some the pieces and the flower.

Bella's Monday Challenge

It's time for another challenge over at Bella Digi Studio. This challenge was use one of the Bella digital backgrounds on your card. I choose the Wood Grain Scroll Border background along with Snooty Kitty from the Little Furries collection and the Hello Dear Friend sentiment. For the background stamp, I change the scroll color to brown and then added some pink with my copics. The flowers were made with my Quickutz die. The cardstock is from DCWV Garden Party. Sketch Wednesday Over at Bella Digi Studio

It was my turn to create the sketch over at the Bella Digi Studio challenge blog. This is my first sketch so I kept it pretty simple. For my card, I used the Pity Kity image from the Little Loves collection. The two squares were embossed with a Sizzix folder and distressed with Chipped Sapphire and the larger rectangle embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and then sanded for added texture. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Fiskars and was cut out using one of my Nestabilities.

Peppermint Kisses

Hello. Hope everyone had a great weekend. The challenge this week over at Bella Digi Studio is to use velvet or flocking. I've never used flocking before so I ran over to AC Moore and picked some up. I used the freebie that was offered and is part of the July new releases. It's called My New Coat and she's just adorable, isn't she??? I decided to use a winter theme for her. I colored her with Copics and added some white glittery flocking to her ear muffs, fur on the coat and around her boots. I added some distress ink around the image with spun sugar, then went over that with barn door. I used a rubber stamp to emboss the design on each side and used fired brick distress embossing powder. I made the circle sentiment myself and added some peppermints with a Martha Stewart punch.

Hello everyone. Hope you are enjoying your Sunday. I unfortunately, I have to work most of today and am not able to attend the baby shower for my daughter's friend. I did find time last night to make her a card (and a diaper cake too...more to come on that). I found this great vintage pram digi over at The Sketching Stamper. She's has some really great images there. I bought two other ones that I can't wait to play with. The sentiment inside from Create with TLC was cut with my Marianne's Creatables die. I distressed the edges with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. I created a card box to put it in. The sentiment is from Scrap Sisters and the flowers from Wild Orchid. This Week's Challenge at Bella Digi Studio

Happy Monday everyone!! Hope you all had a fabulous holiday weekend. Monday brings us another weekly challenge over at Bella Digi Studio. The focus for this week's challenge is to use chalks. Now, I've never used chalks before and just happened to have a sample of the Colorbox Chalk I received with one of orders from Creative Play Stamps (they always throw in a little freebie everytime I've ordered from them). Tammylee over at the Bella Digi Studio Challenge blog has a wonderful tutorial on using chalks to color your images. Unfortunately I had to work all weekend and my card creating time was very limited. So, I wasn't as creative and only used the chalk around the edges of my paper and images. The image I used is Daisy - in Pigtails and Tutu from the Little Bits collection. She's just so sweet sitting on her mushroom. The sentiment is also from Bella Digi Studio. The butterflies were made with my Quickcutz die.

Hello and Happy Monday! I was asked to join the Design Divas over at Bella Studio Designs and I just couldn't refuse. Bella Studio Challenge

Our friends daughter is celebrating her first birthday and I thought this image would be perfect. I didn't go overboard since this will be going in the mail. I colored the image with copics and added some perfect pearls to the bottom of her dress and on her hat, along with some stickles on the wings and beads on her head. Shirley's 2 Girls is Having a DT Call

I stumbled across this digital stamp company when they were having their April in Paris blog hop and just fell in love with the images. Well, they are having a Design Team call, so I figured I'd give it a try. For the image, I paper peiced it after stamping a background and embossed it with distress inks embossing powder. I also used the same stamp for the other background but didn't emboss it. The postcard stamp is from Prima. I distresed all everything with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo distress inks and made the sentiment. I hope you like it. A Daughter's First Love

I'm a little late posting this. I just started working again and it's been non-stop since last Wednesday. Unfortunately I did not get to spend the day with my DH but my kids did. I made this for my daughter to give her father and it's so fitting since she's always taken after her father and tries to be just like him. Not to mention she's the spitting image of him (just prettier...lol). It also goes along with this week's challenge over at Tiddly Inks. I just love that Christy and her images! The challenge is to use embellishments...lace and/or buttons. For my lace, I actually used a stamp and then embossed it with distress inks embossing powder. I am just loving this stuff. Distressed Tag

Quick post tonight. Hope everyone had a wonderful day. I made my first tag using the distress inks and distress embossing powders from Tim Holtz. The stamps are also from Tim Holtz, except for the Believe frame. That one is a new line that AC Moore has. I believe it's made by Prima (the print is really small even with my glasses). I bought all five of the ones they had (for $1.99, why not?) They're mostly vintage images. I tried regular embossing for the gold butterflies but I don't think I did it right. Anyhow, for a first go around, I was happy with the result and using it as a bookmark for the book I'm currently reading (Eclipse...I really need to finish it soon before the movie comes out). Also wanted to add that I got this fabulous watermark for my photos from Whimsy Stamps/Rainbow Echo Designs. Thanks for stopping by.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #16

The challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's this week is to make your own flowers. One of of friends daughter had her 8th grade graduation this weekend, so I used one of her graduation girl images. Colored her with copics. The paper flowers were cut out with my cricut and assembled using Tim Holtz grunge flower tutorial. I made a card box to go with the card. I just got some distress stickles and thought I would give them a try around the sentiment on the box but was not very happy with it. It comes out very thick. Need to play with it some more. Another post this morning. My internet has been acting so wonky the last couple days, I figured I'd get in as much as I could now. This card is for my cousin's baby. Let me just say...there really aren't many images out there for baby's 1st birthday. The image I used is from the talented Beccy. She has some fabulous freebies on her blog here. Belles & Whistle Ribbons & Punches

This week over at the Belles-n-Whistles challenge blog we asked to create something using ribbon and punches. I used the Wishes stamp. I distressed all the paper edges with distress ink and punched away. I didn't realize till I finished my card that I didn't add any ribbon, so weak as it is, I put some below the butterfly. The paper flowers were cut using my cricut and assembled using Tim Holtz Grunge Flowers technique. Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

Belles & Whistle First Challenge

Belles and Whistles has started sponsering challenges on their blog. You can check it out here. Well lucky for me, my first Belles and Whistles stamps arrived last week. I just love Elisabeth Bell's designs. The challenge this week was to create your own flowers. I found a tutorial on YouTube that shows how to use the Tim Holtz grunge flowers technique using your Cricut to cut the flowers. I used plain white paper and inked the edges a soft pink and sprayed them with some homemade glimmer mist. I was really pleased how they turned out. The sentiment was stamped onto a ticket I downloaded from The 80's Me. She has some really great freebies on her site. I love the sheet music paper I've been seeing on a lot cards lately and found this free download at Carol Annes Boutique. Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

The Stamping Boutique Fairy Cynthia

Happy Saturday everyone! Today's card is using an image from the fabulous Stamping Boutique. This is from the Fairy Cynthia line and just adorable. I colored her with copics and used my distress inks on everything. You can't really tell in the picture but I add a glimmer mist to the image edges and embellishments. This was my first time using a glimmer mist and I just love it. I made a homemade version of it that I found on the web. You would think living in a city as big as Philadelphia, that there would an abundance of crafting stores, but no, we just have ACMoore, Michaels and Joann's. Your very basic essentials.

Anyhow, if you're fans of PCP or SNR, there's a new group site out there for digital stampers only created by Priscilla Styles. It's called Crafter's Digital Art Center. They are having a monthly challenge with an "Anything Goes" theme.

Tiddly Inks Card Challenge #6 and Something Special

Hello, I'd like to share my card for this week's Tiddly Inks Challenge. The theme this week is "Bling". Christy also posted a very sad yet thoughtful story on her blog. So...my card will not sit around and collect dust like the rest of my cards. It will be going to send wishes of happiness to Lisa's sister.

Christy is in the land of Princesses this week and has created some new and wonderful images for purchase at the store. I used the "Kiss Me" image and used my new nestabilities to cut her out and frame her. I had some flowers cut out by cricut which I colored with copics, then added some glitter. I added glitter to her dress and the vines around the flowers. Rhinestones were added to the flower centers and to each of the corners. The corners were created with my new Quitcutz die (I bought a lot of new toys this week).

This week's challenge is circles and ribbon or lace. I got to play with my new toy today. I gave in and bought a Sizzix Big Kick today and some of the new Tim Holtz on the edge dies. The leafy scrolls around the sentiment were made with my new Quickutz die that arrived in the mail yesterday. The image is Michelle's Emerald Enchantment (isn't it lovely!). Tiddly Inks Card Challenge #5 - No DP

The challenge this week over at Tiddly Inks is to create a card without using any desinger papers. So, I decided to use the Angel Q digi and cut out a cloud and used it to stamp a cloud background. I also cut out another cloud and embossed it to put under the Angel Q stamp. Happy Thursday everyone! Today's card is for the Prairie Fairy Fridays challenge. This is the first image I've done from Prairie Fairy (and it was a freebie too!!). I used an easel card layout (this has become one of my favorite layouts). The challenge was to create a card using flowers, whether it be papers or embellishments. I just got the Bloom & Grow paper pack from My Mind's Eye (some really beautiful designs in this one) and found something to match the colors I had already used for the image. I decided to cut the image out and add pop dots to the wings and bottom of the dress to give her some dimension. I really like the combination of colors. Hope you do too. Stamping Boutique DT Entry

The Stamping Boutique is looking for new designers, so I thought...Why not? I created the card above using one of their Little Audrey images. She's colored with Copics. I made the flower using the techinque from the Whiff of Joy tutorial section. Instead of using distress inks, I tried something different this time and colored it with my Copics. I was very pleased with the result. I also tried something new and paper pierced a design on the right side of the card using a template from Fred She Said. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Since I felt guilty about being lazy yesterday and not cleaning, I made up for it today. Whew...I'm exhausted. The happiness I was feeling last week to have my son home from college has sadly faded. Now...it's back to 3:00 AM feedings and leaving a mess for me in the mornings and a clothing trail throughout the house and...blah, blah, blah. Dare to be Sassy Thursdays - Bookmarks

Well...I was true to my word as stated in my earlier post. I ignored my messy house (which is very difficult for me) and chose to do nothing but color up some images and make some stuff and sit myself in front of the TV. This project was made for the "Dare to be Sassy Thursdays". The asked to make a bookmark using one of their images. If you like sexy "vixen" type images, then head over there and check them out. Michelle Perkett Design Challenge #29

It's a beautiful Saturday here in Philly, so I've decided to ignore the mess my children have made in the house and work on some cards. This week's challenge over at Michelle Perkett's is to do some distressing. I chose her lovely Amore Fairy image and colored her with copics and distressed it with Tim Holtz distress ink. I created an easel card and added a layer of purple cardstock, which I crumpled up and inked around the edges, then tore the edges of the pattern paper on top of that. The flowers were cut with my cricut and inked with Tim Holtz distress inks and misted with water, then scrunched up and dryed with my hair dryer. The leaves were also cut with my cricut and inked. And finally a touch of glitter for the flowers and leaves. I'm also entering this in a few other challenges. Hope you enjoyed. Have a great weekend!!

We were asked to create a card using one of Christy's Buggy images. They are all so adorable, it's hard to choose one. I used her "Happy Day Set" and created a stairstep card. It's been a crazy week and I haven't had much time to work on much of anything. Since my dogs decided to get me up at 5:00 AM to go outside and eat grass, I figured I get a few cards in. This week's challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's was to use one all white on white, except for the image. I chose her Flower Girl image and decided to take a break from the copics and colored with prisma pencils and OMS. I used several different textures using my Texture Boutique and made the flourish on the side of the image with my Cricut. I think the white on white really makes the image pop. Mo's Challenge #28

I just love this image from Mo Manning (as I do all her images). The challenge this week was to use 1 ribbon, 2 brads or buttons and 3 designer papers. I colored Miss Muffet in shades of browns with copics and added a little glitter to her "curds and way" and on her tuffet. The cream paisley paper is from Paper Creations and the dark brown and houndstooth papers are from DCWV. I was afraid a bow would take away from the image, so I put it under the image to break up the tan and brown paper there. The image was edged with Tim Holtz antique linen distress ink. The challenge this week is to make something for a "Little One" and use an image from MelJen's Stuffed with Love new releases. My daughter had to get a baby gift for a co-worker and already had a card, so I made a quick gift card holder for her to use (I was rushed and admit it's not my best work). Anyhow, the image was colored with copics and the sentiment (one of MelJen's freebies along with the image), I merged onto the lion image using last Tuesday's tutorial on MelJen's blog. Seed Packet Gift Planter for Michelle Perkett Design Studio Earth Day Blog Hop

Hello and welcome! Thanks for joining us for the Michelle Perkett Design Sudio Challenge Blog's Earth Day Hop (Wow...that's a mouthful). We were asked to create something using recycled items on our project and to also use the color green. I chose to create a gift planter. I was lucky enough to find a planter (which was also green) that I hadn't used yet. I decoupaged the planter with some paper scraps I had. I found some twigs outside to tie the seed packets to and added some Spring sentiments to also hang from the twig branches. I followed a template online to make the seed packets and decorated them with Michelle's Amore Fairy stamp. The leaves on the planter were taken off somne silk flowers I had left over from another project and the flower attached to the leaves and ribbon was made from paper scraps (Whiff of Joy stamps has a great tutorial on making these).
