Mo's Challenge #28

I just love this image from Mo Manning (as I do all her images). The challenge this week was to use 1 ribbon, 2 brads or buttons and 3 designer papers. I colored Miss Muffet in shades of browns with copics and added a little glitter to her "curds and way" and on her tuffet. The cream paisley paper is from Paper Creations and the dark brown and houndstooth papers are from DCWV. I was afraid a bow would take away from the image, so I put it under the image to break up the tan and brown paper there. The image was edged with Tim Holtz antique linen distress ink. Thanks for stopping by.

MelJen's Challenge #3

The challenge this week is to make something for a "Little One" and use an image from MelJen's Stuffed with Love new releases. My daughter had to get a baby gift for a co-worker and already had a card, so I made a quick gift card holder for her to use (I was rushed and admit it's not my best work). Anyhow, the image was colored with copics and the sentiment (one of MelJen's freebies along with the image), I merged onto the lion image using last Tuesday's tutorial on MelJen's blog. I used Tim Holtz distress ink around the edge of the image and added some glitter. Thanks for stopping by.

Seed Packet Gift Planter for Michelle Perkett Design Studio Earth Day Blog Hop

Hello and welcome! Thanks for joining us for the Michelle Perkett Design Sudio Challenge Blog's Earth Day Hop (Wow...that's a mouthful). We were asked to create something using recycled items on our project and to also use the color green. I chose to create a gift planter. I was lucky enough to find a planter (which was also green) that I hadn't used yet. I decoupaged the planter with some paper scraps I had. I found some twigs outside to tie the seed packets to and added some Spring sentiments to also hang from the twig branches. I followed a template online to make the seed packets and decorated them with Michelle's Amore Fairy stamp. The leaves on the planter were taken off somne silk flowers I had left over from another project and the flower attached to the leaves and ribbon was made from paper scraps (Whiff of Joy stamps has a great tutorial on making these).

Well...that's it. Thanks for stopping by. The next stop on the blog hop is Tammy's http://tmaynard.blogspot.com

Tiddly Inks Card for the New Challenge Blog

Here's my card for the new challenge blog at Tiddly Inks. I used the Star Bugg digi stamp and colored her with Copics. I just bought some Ranger Distress Inks and couldn't wait to play with them. I used Pale Pink on the edge of the circle. I usually use prisma and OMS to create a distress look but this was so much easier. Can't wait to buy some more colors. I'm HOOKED!

Michelle Perkett Design Challenge #26

I can't say how much I love Michelle's challenges. Still being a newbie at papercrafting, I'm learning so much from participating in her challenges. This week's challenge was to make an easel card using the colors pale blue, turquoise, celery and olive. I used Copics to color her (unfortunately before my two packages of MORE copics arrived today) and added some glitter in spots and Glossy Accents on the rosebuds (doesn't really show in the picture though). The sentiment on the card is a freebie from Ginger's House.

That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by :)

Here's my card for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge. The challenge was to use a Sassy Boy image and the colors blue and cream.

I'm shocked to have been chosen for MelJen's "Top 5" for Challenge #2. I really did this card in a hurry and there were so many wonderful submissions. I tried to go for a coffee shop feel with this card. I used Pop Dots to make the top piece look like an awning (the pictures doesn't really show it well or the pattern on the paper).

MelJen's Designs Challenge #1 Winner

I won MelJen's Design Challenge and Inspiration blog's first challenge. This is the card I submitted.

Michelle Perkett Design Challenge 24

I was lucky enough to win Michelle Perkett's Design Challenge #24. This is the card I submitted.

I Finally Did It!

Well...I finally broke down and decided to create a blog to share my latest obsession of card making with anyone who may be interested. I want to thank Michelle Perkett and the wonderful group she has at her design blog for inspiring and incouraging me to create this blog. Her digital designs are beautiful just like her.
