Happy New Year & Twisted Thursday

Sadly, my time as a Guest Designer at Shirley's 2 Girls has come to an end. The images there are so fun to work with. I want to thank Georgia and the rest of the DT.

My last project is using some of the cute images for New Year's in the January Set. I chose to make another wine bottle tag since we have a party to go to and I'll bringing...you guessed it... a bottle of wine. I found a cute champagne bottle card template (from Mirkwood Designs) and cut it in half.

The theme is New Beginnings this week and we hope you will join us over at the Challenge Blog.
Hope you all have a wonder New Year's.

Snowflakes and Stockings Continued...

Here's where the stockings come in...

This second card uses one of Elisabeth Bell's images from Whiff of Joy Stamps. The image is from the 2009 Winter Kit. I am also entering this in the monthly challenge over at Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog.

The image was colored with Copics and then distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink. I stamped some swirls with holly using a stamp from the dollar bin at Michael's. The candy cane stamp is from the Christmas Words stamp set from Inkadinkado. I used Fired Brick distress ink on craft paper and distressed the edges of everything with Vintage Photo. The scallop square is from a Spellbinders die and the snowflakes were made using a Martha Stewart punch and Fired Brick distress ink and Stickles.

Here's the inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Snowflakes and Stockings

Two more cards to share today. Still Christmas cards. The monthly challenge over at the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge blog is a winter theme. I just love her images and the biggest problem is chosing which one to use.

This first card uses the Letters to Santa image from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection found here.

It's colored with Copics and I added some stickles glitter for the snow and the trim on her hat and coat. The snowflake is a Quickutz die and the scalloped circles was made with a spellbinders die. I used Vintage Photo and Antique Linen distress inks to add a vintage feel to the card.

To be continued...

Christmas a little late

I have a couple postings today. I know Christmas is past but I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Unfortunately now that I'm working two jobs, my crafting time has been almost non-existent. I did manage to take two days off before the holiday and get some cards done. Nothing too exciting. I kept them pretty basic.

The first uses this adorable Elisabeth Bell image from Belles-n-Whistles. The circle sentiment is from Cats Life Press.

This one I used a Sarah Kay image. This is probably my favorite Sarah Kay image.

Thzese are gift card holders I made for our friends kids. The template is a freebie over at the Waltzing Mouse. The circle sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

Twisted Thursday and Dog Treats

Hello. It's Thursday already and time for another challenge at Shirley's 2 Girls. The theme this week is anything. I made a treat bag topper and filled it with dog treats for my neighbor's dogs. I used the image Joyful Noise and colored it with Copics. I used a spellbinder die for the circles and the tag shape. A Martha Stewart punch for the snowflakes. I used forest moss distress ink and then added some stickles to the snowflakes.
Sorry for the poor pictures. I think my digital camera is ready to retire. Maybe Santa will bring me a new one. Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you all have wonderful Holiday!!!

It's Twisted Thursday at S2G

It's time for another Twisted Thursday over at Shirley's 2 Girls. The challenge this week is to use flocking on your card or project. I chose to use a white glitter flocking on my snowflake attached to the bow and on the green snowflake border on the bottom of my tag. This adorable image is called "Won't Go". Be sure to stop over at the blog and see what the wonderful DT has created this week.

I used the Santa & Toys image. You can find it over at the S2G Shop. I colored it with Copics and added some red, white & green stickles to the image. I also used some gold stickles for the snowflake which was made from my Quickutz die. The glitter paper is from My Mind's Eye Wonderful Winter collection. The script on the other paper was made with a rubber stamp and then distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Spellbinders - Eyelet Squares

Anything Goes at MelJen's

I made this diaper cake for baby shower a few weeks ago and thought I would post it since the theme is "Anything Goes" over at MelJen's DT and Challenge Blog. The baby's room is a Jungle Babies theme and the first thing I thought of was MelJen's adorable stamps. I colored them with copics and used a spellbinder die for the circles. The palm trees were some black and white clip art I found.
Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

Belles & Whistle Birthday Card

Here's the second post for today. My cousin's 30th birthday is tomorrow and I wanted to make her a special card. I attempted my first ever criss cross card. It was actually easier than I thought it would be. I kept it clean and simple (which is also this week's challenge over at BNW). I colored her with copics and used one of my new nestabilities for the circle. The paper is from MME.

Hope you like it.

Hello again. I'm back with two more sneak peek cards for The Stamping Boutique's new releases on September 18th. The first one is the Ice Princess image. I colored her with copics and added some white and silver stickles for a little glam. The edges were distressed with weathered wood TH distress inks and the snowflake is a Quickutz die that I added some glitter to.

The second card is this darling gingerbread man image. For this image, I colored it with prisma pencils and OMS. Again, I added some stickles and foam dots to make the image stand out. The snowflake border punch is from Fiskars.

Don't forget to check out The Stamping Boutique at PCP for it's Digi Day on September 18th.

There is also a Digi Day planned for the release at Paper Craft Planet, so be sure to head over there and join if you're not already a member. There will lots of fun and games.
Remember Candyland? Doesn't this image take you back to your childhood year's and the fun you had playing this game? I colored it with copics and added several different colors of stickles. This image just begs for sparkles. I have two more cards with sneak peeks to share with you later today, so be sure to check back.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sprinkled with Love

Happy Tuesday! Today I'd like to share a card with you that I made for my son to give to his girlfriend for her birthday. The image is from Belles-n-Whistles. I'm entering it this week's challenge, which is to use lace. It may be a bit of a stretch but I'm counting the Lacey Heart punch from Martha Stewart as my lace and the border punch. I colored the image with copics and distressed the edges of the paper and added some TH Distress Crackle Paint to all the edges. The circle sentiment is from Cat's Life Press and the sentiment inside is from Tiddly Inks Digital Stamps.

Best Wishes from The Stamping Boutique

Hello. I'm back from vacation but unfortunately my mind has stayed in Mrytle Beach. I haven't had time to unpack or anything else productive. Since I've been MIA for a while, I wanted to put together a card real quick this morning. The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring this week's challenge over at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog. The challenge over there is to use the sentiment Best Wishes on your card or project. I used the Audrey with Ladybugs image from TSB. If you haven't been over to the shop yet, please stop over at The Stamping Boutique and check out the new images.

The weather has taken a nice change for the cooler here in Philly and I'm looking forward to fall. So I thought I'd make an autumn card. I added some distress crackle paint in picket fence around the edges of some the pieces and the flower.

It was my turn to create the sketch over at the Bella Digi Studio challenge blog. This is my first sketch so I kept it pretty simple. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Fiskars and was cut out using one of my Nestabilities.

TSB Sponsoring For Fun Challenges

Hi all! The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring the For Fun Challenges this week and the challenge is to use bright colors (even neon if you'd like). My card however, is not one of my better ones. I was babysitting all day today and was able to color up my image there but time did not allow me to construct something better. Annika over at Another Messy Crafter blog had a fantastic tutorial on how she colors clouds with copics. I decided to give it a try. It's nowhere as good as hers but I plan on practicing to get better.

Sorry for the short post...going to fall into bed now. Thanks for stopping by
